What are your office hours?
My office hours are Monday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. PST.
How quickly can you start on my project? I'd love to hear from you! Availability shifts throughout the year, so the best way to know for sure is to reach out and ask. Typically, I take on one manuscript at a time and spend 10–14 days working through two full passes, giving your story the care it deserves. Even so, I'm often able to welcome a second project partway through the first, so there's a good chance I can fit you in sooner than you'd think—don't be shy about asking!
When are consultations available?
Consultations are scheduled Monday through Saturday, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. PST. If these times don’t work for you, feel free to reach out and we can discuss alternatives.
How quickly do you respond to emails?
You’re welcome to email me anytime. I typically respond within 24-48 hours. I do check email on holidays and respond as soon as possible.
Pricing
How is pricing determined?
Pricing is set per project and is based on your manuscript’s length and editing needs. To receive an accurate quote, please use the Contact Me form and provide as much detail as possible about your manuscript. Answering all questions helps me determine the best pricing for your project.
Do you offer discounts or promotions?
Yes! I occasionally share special discounts on my Facebook page. In addition, my Happily Ever Planners shop offers products for authors that may include exclusive discounts. New items are added monthly as another way I love to support authors.
I am dedicated to supporting all authors by offering high-quality proofreading and copy editing services at more accessible rates. While my pricing is competitive, I never compromise on the quality of my work. I believe every author deserves professional editing support, regardless of budget. If you have questions or concerns about payment, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

What kinds of romance manuscripts do you work on?
I work with romance authors across a wide range of subgenres and provide proofreading and copyediting designed to strengthen your manuscript while keeping your voice intact.
Do you offer a sample edit?
Yes! I offer a free sample edit of the first three chapters of your manuscript so you can be confident my editing style is the right fit for your project.
Do you edit spicy romance? Absolutely—all heat levels are welcome, from sweet to spicy and everything in between. My focus is always on making sure your voice and story shine, whatever the temperature.
Do you edit dark romance? I'm open to dark romance on a case-by-case basis. I'm comfortable with morally gray characters and mild BDSM content, but I don't take on manuscripts involving age-gap relationships, sexual assault, or a love interest who is a murderer. If you're not sure whether your book is a fit, feel free to reach out with a brief overview before submitting, and we can figure it out together.
Do you work with new authors? Yes, and I love it! Whether this is your very first manuscript or your fifteenth, I'm happy to work with you. New authors are always welcome, and my free sample edit is a great way to get comfortable working together before committing to a full project.
Confidentiality & Privacy
How do you keep my manuscript confidential?
Your privacy and trust are extremely important to me. I understand that your manuscript is your creative work, and I treat it with care and respect throughout the editing process.
- Secure storage: Client files are stored on an external hard drive that is kept under my control.
- Limited access: Only I have access to your client files.
- Non-Disclosure Agreement: An NDA is available upon request for additional peace of mind.
- Privacy practices: I do not share your manuscript or personal information with other people or businesses except when necessary to provide a service you have authorized or when required by law.
Do you use AI when editing my manuscript?
I use a variety of professional digital tools and reference resources as part of my editing process, including ProWritingAid, the online Chicago Manual of Style, Merriam-Webster, and other trusted resources.
I may also occasionally use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot when I have a question about grammar, wording, clarity, or another editing issue. When I do, I may provide a sentence or short passage to help me work through the question. I use AI as a resource to support my own editorial judgment—not as a replacement for it.
I do not ask AI to edit or rewrite an entire manuscript, generate content for your book, or make editorial decisions on my behalf. Your manuscript, your voice, and your creative work remain at the heart of my editing process.
I understand that authors have different feelings about AI, and I respect those preferences. If you have specific concerns about AI or the use of particular tools with your manuscript, please let me know before we begin so we can discuss your preferences.
Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept all major debit and credit cards. Payments are processed securely through Stripe via a link included with your invoice.
When is payment due?
A partial payment is due upon acceptance of your manuscript, with the remaining balance due upon project completion.
If paying the full amount in only two parts is difficult, I’m happy to discuss a payment plan that works for you. My goal is to support you in bringing your literary vision to life.
